We provide business advice and management consulting services to uncover the real issues that are stopping growth or from converting a great idea into action.

Working out where you want to take your business and then executing is hard and often very messy. Because we understand this, our solutions are tailored to your business and not recycled ‘off the shelf’ options.

We provide you the space and tools to think creatively and strategically, helping you step away from the daily grind of business and uncover what it takes to be unique and more profitable.  We do this, by focusing on you and your goals.

Matthew Jones

Matt Jones is a proud Torres Strait Islander from Darnley Island, Queensland. He is the founder of Malu Pty Ltd, a Supply Nation Registered business, a Non-Executive Director with Aboriginal Community Housing Limited, a veteran, and the ninth Indigenous Australian to be admitted as a Full Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Like many business owners, Matt’s path to starting a business has had many twists and turns on the way.

Despite an eclectic career including military service, professional services, and senior leadership roles, Matt realised he wanted to be responsible for his own destiny. To focus on his passion for helping businesses and people to reach their full potential and to lead more fulfilling lives.

And so, just like that, Malu was born.

analyse. identify. advise. execute.

As Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand once said,

"A Company’s financial numbers tell a story, it is fundamentally people that create it."

Matt’s approach is people-focused, ensuring that all stakeholders are involved in creating a solution. This not only leads to Stakeholder ‘buy in’ but is critical to any project’s long-term success.

While managing cash flow is critical to an organisation’s success, ensuring that processes are efficient and that the company’s strategy matches the constantly evolving marketplace is equally important. All the things that tend to be put to one side by the overworked founder or executive as they grow a business.

Matt brings a fresh set of eyes and diverse skill set, to help your business sail through the most challenging environment to safely reach your destination.

An accomplished speaker, Matt has delivered keynote presentations at events, conferences, and workshops. His areas of interest include improving Supply Chain diversity, the future of Australian manufacturing, and how the Indigenous business sector is critical to ‘Closing the Gap.’ He has been profiled within the Chartered Accountants journal ‘Acuity’ and news.com.au for his work with Indigenous businesses.

He has experience in process improvement, cash flow management, business strategy, market research and corporate governance. Together this produces better businesses that create positive change within the community and helps people to lead the lives they were meant to lead.

Matt holds a Bachelor of International Business & a Bachelor of Arts, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Queensland. He was a mentor for the 2020 Queensland Government ‘Indigenous business is open for business’ project, supports the Indigenous Accountants Australia initiative, coached the Lloyd McDermott XV, and was formerly the Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee with DV Connect QLD.
